If I run the TGL Classic, do I have to fundraise?
NO. You may choose to either register and pay the $25 registration fee or fundraise to support lung cancer research (get pledges from friends, family, etc.). It’s your choice. All those fundraising must provide TGL Foundation with their registrants' names no later than April 5th by 5 pm.
I'm planning to participate in the Run or Walk events, but would like to include my child. Do I have to register him/her?
It depends. It is not necessary to register children under the age of 12. However, only registered participants will receive a Run/Walk t-shirt and race bib.
If I choose to register, do I have to register online?
NO. You can mail your form to TGL Foundation, 1414 Prince Street, Ste. 400, Alexandria, VA or fax it to us at 703-997-8907. Click here to download the printable registration form to mail or fax with your check or credit card number. Fax and online registration close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:00 pm. Mailed forms must be postmarked no later than April 5th to ensure we receive and process it in time for the race.
Can I register in person or the morning of the event?
YES, but by doing so your race entry fee will NOT go directly towards funding lung cancer research. You may register at NY Road Runners (9 East 89th Street, between Madison and Fifth Avenues) on the following dates:
When and where do I pick up my race bib and t-shirt?

Are donations tax-deductible?
YES, all donations are tax-deductible. The TGL Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. Our federal tax I.D. number is 57-1151066. Please note that race entry fees are not tax deductible.
If I fundraise as an individual or team, do I still have to pay a registration fee?
Yes, you will still need to complete the registration process because the registration form has a waiver that we need you to accept in order to participate in the event. Simply register on this site and then proceed to beginning your fundraising efforts on active.com.
